‘Be Ambassadors for CHANGE INDIA’ - Padma Bhushan Dr. B N Suresh at MITE Graduation Ceremony 2017
‘The country is surging forward. Today we have the country showing exemplary growth and Excellence in all field – like Information Technology, Infrastructure, Navigation, Weather Monitoring, Nuclear, etc. We should not be exporting our Talents outside India. The Young Graduates today should become an Ambassador for CHANGE INDIA’ said Padmabhushan Dr. B N Suresh renowned Indian Aerospace Scientist and the former Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram in his Graduation address at the Graduation Ceremony 2017 held at Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Moodabidri on the 25th November evening. The Graduation Ceremony was held at MITE Campus for the Seventh batch of engineering graduates and Eight batch of Management Post Graduates. Dr. B N Suresh addressed the Graduates on the great developments that we are witnessing today in India and how today’s Youth can create an Impact. He mentioned that ‘We need to Synergize Learning, Research and Knowledge’. With continuous Learning and thorough research, and Innovation, ideas are to be transformed into social wealth. To achieve this Learning has to be a continuous activity till last breath’.
Padmabhushan Dr. B N Suresh remarked that ‘Institute has trained the Graduates to work commendably. It is not enough to only learn. Today, the country needs Visionaries who can come forward and take the country to new heights, which can be achieved with greater goals. To achieve this every individual has to put firm footsteps and select a career destination that is closer to their Heart. And to shine like a Sun, one needs to burn like a Sun’. Dr. B N Suresh called upon the Graduates to work towards creating more innovations. In his concluding remarks, he quoted that ‘Graduation is not an end of Journey but a start to explore new challenges towards Innovation’
In addition to awarding the Graduation certificates to the Engineering Graduates and the Management Post Graduates, the Toppers in each branch were felicitated with the Gold Medals. Mr. Padmanabha Gadiyar of Mechanical Engineering, Ms. Anjana R of Computer Science Engineering, Ms. Likhithashreedevi of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Ms. Sharmila of Information Science & Engineering, Ms. Farisa Ibrahim of Civil Engineering, Mr. Vikas Pawar of Aeronautical Engineering and Mr. Sreerag P P of MBA were given the Gold medal by the Chief Guest.
Prof. G R Rai, Advisor, MITE administered the Oath to the Graduates. Mr. Rajesh Chouta, President, Rajalaxmi Education Trust in his presidential address asked the Graduates to be more committed to their profession and duty towards the Nation building. He told ‘Learning is a Continuous Process. You may have different dreams and aspirations, but it is important to have a Role Model, and Padma Bhushan Dr. B N Suresh is a perfect role model for everyone’. He further mentioned the Graduates to lead their life with passion and be proud alumni of MITE.
